In this giant chase movie, former race car driver Brent Magma (Ethan Hawke) is forced to steal a special car, and go around Bulgaria performing crime, doing the dirty work for the man who kidnapped his wife. One screw up and she's dead. That means he has to crash into buildings and trucks, even if that makes him the primary target for the police and possibly, a murderer. He then meets the former owner of this sweet ride, played by the former Selena Gomez, who I think, is surprisingly a great choice for the role of a smart Goth who doesn't have an introduced name. On the mission, they are forced to work together and try to find a loophole around this mission, even with the voice, played by Jon Voight, watching and hearing their every move with cameras all around the car.
Trust me, this movie has as many car chases and crashes as there are steaks served at The Keg on discount day. There may not be much to say about this movie other than that, but that's just how this movie is. It's also a little bit dramatic, especially when you put yourself in Brent's shoes, being completely forced against your will. It also gets smart when Selena invents a way to hide a discussion and sabotage. This is a decent movie for teens during a break from the party, because the chases in Getaway are actually kind of fun.
